Degree Information
The Master of Arts program in Ministry prepares students for effective leadership, with a missional heart, springing from both character and skill bases. The degree consists of 36 units of study (two years full-time), which students complete totally online.
Students select one of four areas of concentration:
- Christian Leadership
- Church Planting
- Intercultural Studies
- Worship
The Ministry Department places each learning experience in one of three categories according to its primary focus:
- Biblical/Theological Development
- Professional Development (ministry skills)
- Personal Development (spiritual formation; physical, mental, and emotional health)
To earn the Master of Arts degree in Ministry, students must complete the following degree components designed to develop well-rounded servant leaders:
- Biblical Theological Development (approx. 40% of the 36-unit MA) 14 units
- Professional Development (approx. 40% of the 36-unit MA) 14 units
- Personal Development (approx. 20% of the 36-unit MA) 8 units
